Thursday means lifting weights with J. I took my little spreadsheet along and decided that it was time to lift a little more, so I cranked it up and it was okay– not too hard, but challenging. It’s funny– I’m finding muscles now that weren’t there before. (A wild triceps appears!)

I expected to be very sore today but it’s really not too bad. My calves are stiff (as I’d expect) and, oddly, my lower back. I’m not sure what that has to do with running, but there it is. Hopefully I won’t have to skip my Friday run like I did last time I ran 3 miles…

It’s interesting to be stronger. I find I’m less clumsy, have better balance, and more awareness of how I’m moving and the position I will be entering. I have more control when I move.
