I’m finally feeling better, plus I had the day off today (yay!) so around 11am I got myself out to the trail for a run. It had been a while! My legs felt great, but going in the morning without eating and with being slightly dehydrated in the heat meant I was not at 100% performance. Dang was it hot out there– I think by the time I got back home I had sweated through all my clothing (and I even wore my fancy tech top which wicks– still soaked). Not a great time out there; I only ran the first 1.5 miles, then walked the rest. Still, it felt good.
My standard thing in the hot weather is to get on the trail at 6:30-7am. This is going to take a bit of discipline, but the only way to get through it is to beat the heat.
