I try to do the Friday yoga class at my gym when my schedule permits. Today my schedule was supposed to permit, and I brought in my mat and my fancy yoga pants… and opened my email this morning to find that my bi-weekly meeting got moved to the same time as the class. So, I went down to the gym after the meeting and did some yoga on my own instead.
It’s been a while and I am definitely not as stretchy as I was a couple weeks ago– especially my hips. I couldn’t remember how to do some of the poses, so I sort of felt them out and decided where I got a nice stretch and performed them that way. Regardless of the quality of my yoga, though, actually opening up my muscles felt amazing and I am refreshed and relaxed. Class or not, that’s good enough for me!
