I was so busy today I didn’t have time to write about my workout! I had to drag J off to the gym an hour early today because it turns out I had a surprise meeting. (Those are my favorite kind.) Since I was in a hurry, I decided to do my weightlifting “perfect” with fewer reps and a little extra weight. (I am putting “perfect” in quotes because it wasn’t, but I tried hard not to cheat.) Then I rolled myself backwards over a ball for 10 minutes and showered and hit the ground running for the rest of my day. (I am now done with work for the day, at home, and one glass of wine improved.)
The day after yoga is, I’m afraid, the worst. I don’t know what it is about that theoretically non-strenuous workout, but I am so sore in places I didn’t even know there were muscles. We did tree yesterday, which caused the ligaments in the bottom of my feet to burn. And yes, they’re sore today. So are the tiny muscles surrounding my ribs. And my groin. And my armpits. I maintain that yoga is good for me me, but my goodness do I feel it the next day.
Oh right, I’m going back in for more tomorrow.
