I got in my Wednesday run after work today, a 3-miler on the treadmill. I usually like to give myself a recovery day between, and in fact my calves were sore (wore minimalist shoes yesterday, it still wrecks my calves but it’s getting better) but they loosened up okay.
The cardio room was HOT today! None of the fans were on and everyone in there was sweating up a storm. I forgot to bring a hankie/washcloth in, so there was lots of annoying sweat-wiping with my hands. (I bought a few old crochet lace-trimmed cotton hankies at a resale store and use them for dabbing at my very ladylike sweaty face.) It was hard to breathe in the soupy air, too. Luckily I was hydrated beforehand.
Sports bra chafe is still in full effect and I knew that, even with a thick application of Bodyglide, I would be in pain. So I stuck a big ol’ bandaid (one of the 2×3″ tough fabric ones) on and hoped for the best. It worked. Thank goodness.
