No J today, but I still managed to get to the gym. (I was sorely tempted to skip, though!) Since I haven’t gotten around to working out a new lifting routine yet, I just kept on with the previous one. (I did bring my lifting sheet back with me this time, so I have no excuse not to work on it!) It would appear that the most effective exercise for my awesome back aspirations is… rowing! Or at least any of the variations on it, weighted or not. I’ve decided that the seated row machine in the weight room is kind of wonky (at least for people with breasts, thanks for thinking of women weight machine designers) so I’ll have to work out something new.
I’ve looked into getting a foam roller for my very own to use at home, but the things are like $40 in stores! Really, it’s a piece of hard extruded foam. How much can it cost to make?

Do you have a Joann’s or other similar fabric/craft store near you? The ones by me typically sell foam pieces of various dimensions and densities (to put in pillows, cushions, etc.). It may be worth a look to see if they have a base piece (might require some cutting) that would work for you.
No, I’ve never seen this kind of foam at a craft store. It’s totally rigid.
