Struggling; also, Goodbye! Stage 2 Workout A

You might think that, after 4 days of doing no activity more strenuous than light stretching while watching Star Trek: the Next Generation, my body might be feeling rejuvenated and less sore. However, you would be wrong. It seems like the hiatus just gave time for deeper-buried aches and pains to surface. I like my activity, but frankly this is getting old! I am feeling old! My lower back, hips, neck, feet, all that stuff that I rely upon to not just lift weights but move around normally– it just hurts. Why am I doing all this if it just means I feel creaky all the time?

Anyway, I went back to the gym for Workout A4 today. It’s the last time for A4 and I’m not sorry to see it go. It’s been hard and awkward and basically miserable. I battled through my reps today, and my feelings at the end of each superset were half relief and half wanting to cry. I don’t feel like I’ve made much progress at all over these 4 weeks, despite all the work and pain I’ve put in. Anyway, here’s a list of my progress…

Ending load: 60lb
