I want to hit A2 hard tomorrow and my uterus is conspiring to cause me great harm, so I decided to ‘take it easy’ today and not run. But since I can’t not do something, I settled on Dance Central and then some yoga. This has, of course, left me pretty wiped out, because an hour of dancing around like a hyperactive four-year-old is hard work! (It’s a lot more fun now that I’ve started to commit the songs to muscle memory! I don’t need to concentrate so much and I can enjoy the flow.)
I’m not sure if my body is just extra limber lately or if the time spent doing yoga is paying off. All I know is that my garden-variety tightness isn’t as bad as it used to be– for example, the backs of my legs are loose and I can easily touch my toes (and then some). Even pigeon wasn’t too bad. Maybe there’s hope for this inflexible old bird yet.
I know some people made fun of Kinect as exercise, but dang, you can really get a damned good workout on it! I am sooo longing to do Dance Central again, reading your posts, but I’m just too sick to lift a foot. Someday…
Glad to hear you’ve gained some flexibility.
Haters gonna hate! I think it’s tons of fun and honestly, any good solid chunk of movement qualifies as exercise in my book. Walking, running, swimming, lifting, dancing, just move :)
I hope you feel better soon!
