Should take a break

I’m not sure what happened to my body– since the weekend, everything has hurt.  Knees, feet, ankles, hips.  So I’ve been trying to take a step back and rest, but I hate taking time off. First of all, my dang Fuelband thingum pesters me to do ‘sufficient’ activity. You wouldn’t think a rubbery band around my wrist would be such a nag, but now I have a good streak of days going and I hate to break it– so either I find some way to get enough ‘fuel’ (ugh) by doing activity during the day, or I wind up flailing around before bedtime to fool it into thinking I’ve done something.  Second of all, I get very antsy if I’m not doing anything. I never figured I’d be one of those people who can’t stand taking a break, but now I have more sympathy for cranky runners who can’t run.

Anyway, I did a little activity today, played my dancey game for a while. It was probably not the best thing I could’ve chosen, as it’s a little rough on my knees and feet (I always play barefoot on the carpet). Oh well.

    I love the idea of you flailing around trying to fool it! You should get a dog or cat, and strap it to them.

      I think a cat would be too lazy to fill it up :) When I get tired of flailing I give it to my partner and he flails for me. This is ironic because the Fuelband used to be his, and I would flail for him on his off days…
