Hooray, I’m around actual real people today! (No offense to my partner, but honey I see you all the time.) I’ve been running like a headless chicken all day though!
I didn’t know what to do at the gym today, so I did a lot of things. I started in the weight room and did a couple sets of front squat-push presses, lightly loaded, and a couple sets of bench presses. I haven’t done bench in approximately forever since I’ve exchanged it for pushups, but 2 sets of 10 at 95lb was doable without a spot but still challenging. I followed that with 2 sets of plain ol’ deadlifts at 115lb.
After that, I hopped on the treadmill and ran for 30 minutes (about 2.3mi). I spent most of that time fighting with my music– I reset my phone and re-copied my music onto it, but somehow I’d lost my playlists so it just wound up shuffling through all my music. Lots of it is not very conductive to running, so I was poking at my arm hitting next all the time.
Isn’t funny how the music things bothers us.
I rarely play songs in shuffle, I sorta like to listen to them in certain order and what that order is broken, I get really annoyed.
Or when I think my iPod has enough battery and it dies 10 minutes into a workout. It kills me!
Yes! I love having my music as a motivation and a distraction, so when it’s not right it really drags my workout down.
