Rain, rain go away! It’s pouring out there! Well, it gave me a good excuse for a longer treadmill run, anyway. I finished 5k in 36 minutes flat and felt pretty darn good during the run. I think the new shoes are working fine, save for a bit of rubbing on one pinky toe (hopefully it’ll callus up soon). I’m really excited about running more; it’s funny how a new pair of squishy shoes makes all the difference in my attitude.
I’ve decided to wait one more week to start Stage 7, though Laura had some excellent perspective in a comment on my last post– she recommended I treat it like a conditioning workout, instead of a traditional strength workout. And in truth, I have no problem throwing 10 pounds around a zillion times in a kettlebell class, but that’s just not what I was expecting from NRoL4W. I’ll give it a try, though.
