What a dismal day! It’s grey and rainy and I very much wanted to just stay in bed this morning. But I’m a responsible adult, darn it, and so I’m at work writing (really awful) code.
Gym time happened, though, which was a bright spot. Today I focused on core stuff: I started out with bench and OHP, then went to back extensions, hip adductors/abductors, cable wood chops, weighted crunches, kettlebell swings, dumbbell snatch and situps. Hopefully my legs feel okay tomorrow.
Also brightening my day is the fact that this is my last day in the office this week. It’ll be a late night but that’s okay. I have a pile of errands to run and things to do tomorrow, though, and I ought to go in and get my bloodwork done and schedule my physical. Sounds like a nice Friday off, eh?
Prompted by another post… I wonder if my thyroid tests will come out okay. The last screen I had was fine, but in the past doctors have gone back and forth– a certain psychiatrist back in the day had me on thyroid hormones at one point, but that wound up being very short-term. (Gotta love changing pdocs and cocktails every year– thank goodness I’m not going through that anymore.) Maybe it would be worth it, not to have hands and feet that wind up at ambient temperature…
The misses has the same thyroid situation as you do. With all this moving and what not it has not been easy but now that she hit the doc all is well. As much as we hate them sometimes the docs do right by us! Good luck with your situation and just like with the misses it will all work out.
What kind of (awful) code are you writing?
This time it’s matlab, which is by definition awful.
