Quitting while I’m (not) ahead

So, it appears 6x400m this morning was a bit optimistic. I struggled through 5 of the 6 intervals, but once I started the 6th I realized I was limping a lot on my right foot– it was like the back of my leg had shortened up all of a sudden. So I called it a day and stretched. Grr.

I’m terrified to lose the conditioning I’ve built up– I’d made so much progress! I’m debating if I should take the rest of the week off and start month 2 of the training cycle fresh, or if I should just keep half-assing it and hope I feel better.

  1. You won’t lose it in an week. Take a break, or switch to the stationary bike for a few days. Rather that than injure yourself.
