Scheduling

I had time this morning for a longer hamster wheel session– 45 minutes on the elliptical at a moderate pace. I’m not too sore from yesterday’s workout, but my uterus has started its monthly revolt so I feel pretty crappy overall, despite a breakfast of ibuprofen and coffee. But the low-key workout gave me time to catch up on my new favorite podcast, Make Me Smart.

These days I spend too much time trying to decide how to structure my workouts for the week for maximum gain and minimum soreness impact. This week I have two more gym sessions, want to hit squats and bench, and am going away on Friday afternoon for a weekend that’s going to feature long sessions of sitting followed by long walks. I guess that means I should do squats tomorrow, so I have time to recover a bit and I don’t hate my life all weekend.
