Pressing pause

This morning I was sore in my lower back, so I decided to delay deadlifts for a day and do a nice recovery workout. I’m a little worried about running out of time– all next week I’ll be at a work meeting in California so unless there’s a barbell gym next door to my hotel (I don’t have a rental car) it’s going to be tough to do anything. (Note to self: check if there’s a gym within walking distance! Maybe I’ll be lucky and find one that I can pay for a week of access at.)

So I elliptical’d for 35 minutes, had a good foam roller session and finished up with a very short burst of yoga. The foam rolling was brutal and lovely; so was the yoga.

While I was on the hamster wheel, I was listening to a podcast that featured one of my favorite bloggers, Caitlin from Fit and Feminist. Good stuff– check it out!
