Snow squats

This morning we had a delayed start due to the snowstorm, but that didn’t deter me from arriving at my usual time and heading to the gym for 5x5B with J, who was finally back today from the holidays. I was less chilly today and didn’t need a long  cardio warmup, just a quick 5 minutes on the elliptical and a bit of ankle stretches.

Squat – 3x5x45lb (warmup), 5x5x120lb

OHP – 2x10x45lb (warmup), 5x5x55lb

Deadlift – 5x115lb, 5x165lb (warmup), 5x185lb

Bonus: farmer’s walk 45lb each hand, back extensions

Squats are feeling awfully good lately. My gym prohibits it, but I snuck a little bit of phone video anyway for a form check (c’mon, I was the only one in there!) Back nice and up, no butt wink, good depth. Hopefully I can keep that strong form as I continue to increase the weight on the bar, I have a long way to go.
