This week is double-barreled stress thanks to work stuff and house stuff. Adding to it all, I’m focusing in on my workouts and fueling so recovery is super critical at the moment. Naturally, this means I go to the gym early and short myself some on sleep– although I went to bed early I still only got 6 hours.
However, getting to the gym at 6:45am made me feel like I had all the time in the world to get my workout done! I did a 5x5B workout and a great pile of accessory lifts and even got a chance for a good stretch. So exciting! I’m going to write it all up here, too. It took me an hour and ten minutes to get through it.
Squat – 2x5x45lb, 5x5x135lb (still doing em lightish, not super happy with how today went)
OHP – 2x5x45lb, 5x5x75lb
Deadlift – 5x135lb, 5x205b, 5x235lb
GH raise – 2x10x10lb
Leg press – 2x10x200lb+sled
KB side bend – 2x10x40lb, each side
Decline situp – 2×10
EZ bar bicep curl – 2x10x45lb
EZ bar lying tricep extension – 2x10x45lb
Plank – 2×1:10
Lat pulldown – 2x10x35
Quad curl machine – 2x10x80
Hamstring curl machine – 2x10x80
Usually I would split the accessory work into separate days, but it was nice to do the full smorgasbord today.
