Squat/Bench/Row today, not in that order because there was another person in there using the bench and I didn’t feel like setting up a power rack or asking to work in so I waited for him to finish. I put another 10lb back on squat and it seemed to go okay (worked on form+velocity today), row was still ridonk hard, and I added up the weight for bench wrong. I was doing my sets and was like "dang this easy!" but realized when I was done that I had done them all too light. Afterward though I got J to spot me for some heavy singles and that gave me some confidence back.
Squat – 2x5x45lb, 2x5x115lb, 5x5x145lb
Row – 5x5x90lb
Bench – 10x45lb, 2x5x95lb, 5x5x125lb, 1x130lb, 1x135lb, 1x145lb
We are in the thick of House Shit. $husband has the day off today and has borrowed his dad (and his SUV) to take a bunch of stuff to the dump (we are throwing out an alarming amount of worn-out furniture). I carted a load of stuff to Goodwill earlier this week, between the move and my shrinking I’m dropping things off for them them way too often. Tomorrow I’m taking the day off to prep for Saturday’s painting party– all the furniture needs to be moved to the centers of rooms and the walls and baseboards need to be cleaned, I also need to go buy more paint and supplies. The loan application for new house is going forward, I need to make sure I have everything signed and submitted before I leave Monday morning for a week of work meetings. The inspection of the new house is Tuesday so $husband will have to take care of that by himself (I expect to be taking some calls during the meeting, they can f’ing deal with it). Hopefully nothing explodes or goes horribly wrong while I’m out of town.
Yesterday was such a crap day at work that I just asked $husband to give me a break from house stuff for a few hours. I had a face to face with Great-Grand Boss and he described our big, high-profile project as "a plane aimed at the ground with all the klaxons going off". Super. I did get a 4 mile treadmill run done in the morning though, so the day wasn’t a total write-off I guess.
