Okay, I lied, I haven’t started deloading yet. Today is my LAST BIG LIFTING DAY I swear. I wanted to get under the bar for one more squat session this morning. My quads are telling me that after this I definitely need a break– after today, no heavy lifting until Tuesday!
Squat – 5x45lb, 5x135lb, 5x185lb, 1x195lb,1x205lb, 1x215lb
Deadlift – 2x1x205lb
215lb is still a hard maybe. I’ve been doing better on hitting depth by making sure my hips and ankles are well stretched before starting, but I think 215lb was shallow and it was uuuugly to boot.
I was thinking to do more weight on DL but after those two singles Angry QL said "heeeeey" and I figured that was enough stress for one day, no point pushing it and getting hurt. I did squat/DL in the wrong order. Tonight I want to get some bench heavies in with $husband, I hope there’s time. We’ve been skipping home lifting workouts just because we can’t seem to get to it earlier than 9pm no matter what we do. Tonight is grocery shopping night so chances are not good.
Yesterday I run-commuted on my tired legs. It’s only 0.8mi to the train stop from my house so I had to go out of my way to get some distance in. Did I mention tired legs? Still, a quick 2.5mi first thing in the morning is never bad.
